On the Robar Farm

We believe in living off the land, growing our own food, and raising our own animals to ensure only the best farm practices and best health for our family.

We started from scratch and have been small-scale farming since 2006. As we became more knowledgeable and experienced in many different areas of farming — and saw the lack of help and support available for beginners — we decided to start sharing the knowledge we’ve gathered over the last 16 years so you and your family can be more self-reliant, too!

When you grow your own food, you have full control over what you eat, knowing the animals were raised with the best possible care and quality of life. You'll also reduce your reliance on toxic, store-bought foods and have less to worry about during food shortages.

ON OUR FARM, WE RAISE Rare Heritage Pigs, LGDs to protect your livestock, many different Heritage and Rare Chickens, Heritage and Wild Turkeys, Guineas of numerous colors, and sought-after breeds of Ducks and Geese.

We provide the opportunity to raise your own quality animals and are excited to answer your questions, as well as educate, support, and teach through our courses found both online and on our small acreage in Sturgeon County, Alberta.

I have been purchasing duck, turkey, and goose eggs from New Beginnings Poultry & Duck for a number of years.
