Maremma Puppy Purchase Disclaimer
By purchasing a Maremma Livestock Guardian Dog (LGD) from New Beginnings Poultry and Ducks, you acknowledge and agree to the following terms:
1. Buyer Responsibility
Raising and training a successful livestock guardian dog requires time, effort, and proper management. We provide educational resources and mentorship to support you, but the ultimate success or challenges you experience in raising your Maremma are your responsibility. We cannot guarantee individual results, temperament, or effectiveness in guarding, as these depend on training, environment, and management.
2. Not a Licensed Training Service
While we offer guidance based on our experience with LGDs, we are not licensed dog trainers, behaviorists, or veterinarians. The educational materials and mentorship provided are for informational purposes only and should not be considered professional training advice. If you require specialized training or behavior assistance, we encourage you to seek guidance from a qualified professional.
3. Health & Well-Being
All puppies are vet-checked and raised in a healthy, well-socialized environment before going to their new homes. However, once the puppy leaves our care, its health, well-being, and training are the full responsibility of the buyer. We are not responsible for any accidents, injuries, illnesses, or health conditions that may arise after the puppy is transferred to the buyer.
4. No Liability for Damage, Loss, or Escape
Maremmas are independent, working dogs with strong instincts. We are not responsible for any damages, injuries, property destruction, escapes, or losses related to the dog’s behavior, including but not limited to:
✔️ Property damage (e.g., fences, enclosures, structures)
✔️ Injuries to livestock, other animals, or individuals
✔️ The dog escaping or running away
✔️ Aggressive or unwanted behavior due to improper training or management
It is the buyer’s responsibility to provide proper fencing, training, and supervision to ensure the dog’s safety and effectiveness as a guardian.
5. Non-Refundable Deposits & Final Sale
All deposits are non-refundable and secure your place on our reservation list. The final balance is due before pickup. Once a puppy has been transferred to the buyer, the sale is final, and we do not accept returns or offer refunds.
6. Ongoing Support & Guidance
While we cannot take responsibility for your puppy’s success, we are committed to providing mentorship and educational support to help you integrate your Maremma into your farm. We encourage you to stay in touch, ask questions, and utilize the resources we provide.
By purchasing a puppy from us, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these terms.
If you have any questions, feel free to reach out. We look forward to helping you raise a strong, capable livestock guardian!
